Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated August 10, 2026
This policy applies to business customers, their authorized users, and anyone using Evergreen Scan systems. It forms part of the Terms of Service.
1. Lawful and accurate use
Use Evergreen only for lawful business and informational purposes. Customers must have authority to publish every Product, Batch, claim, COA, laboratory result, image, video, link, and other item submitted to the service.
2. Prohibited content and claims
- false, misleading, deceptive, unsupported, or unlawfully comparative Product claims;
- fabricated, altered, mismatched, or unauthorized COAs, laboratory results, Batch identities, or compliance documents;
- medical, therapeutic, safety, authenticity, or regulatory-approval claims not lawfully supported;
- content that infringes privacy, publicity, intellectual-property, or other rights;
- unlawful, abusive, discriminatory, threatening, obscene, or harmful content; and
- content or links that facilitate illegal purchase, shipment, diversion, or use of regulated Products.
3. Cannabis, hemp, and regulated Products
Customers may use Evergreen for cannabis, hemp, or another regulated Product only where they are lawfully licensed and the Product, claims, Portal, advertising, and destination links comply with all applicable federal, state, and local requirements. Evergreen may request evidence of authority or restrict a use that creates legal, consumer, or platform risk.
4. Security and platform integrity
- Do not probe, bypass, disable, overload, or interfere with access controls, security measures, rate limits, or service availability.
- Do not introduce malware, exploit vulnerabilities, obtain unauthorized access, or access another organization's data.
- Do not share credentials outside authorized team access or misrepresent identity, authority, plan, or organization.
- Do not scrape, harvest, resell, reverse engineer, or use service data to train a competing model or service without written permission.
- Do not generate artificial Scans, Portal activity, engagement, or purchase-intent events.
5. QR and Batch integrity
Do not duplicate, transfer, recycle, or intentionally associate a published Scan Token with the wrong Product or Batch. Corrections must use Evergreen's guarded correction process. Do not conceal a recall, regulatory hold, withdrawal, or known material error by leaving a misleading Portal active.
6. Enforcement
Evergreen may investigate suspected violations and use proportionate measures including a warning, correction request, content restriction, workspace suspension, Batch withdrawal, or termination. Immediate action may be taken for fraud, illegal activity, security threats, consumer harm, or material platform abuse. Where practical, Evergreen will provide notice and an opportunity to cure.
7. Reporting and changes
Report suspected misuse through the legal contact listed below. We may update this policy as the service and applicable obligations change. Material changes will receive reasonable advance notice.
